Collage

During in Art class for this week, Wednesday the 8th of November I continued doing my collage about colours. Then after I have finish doing my collage I then started to make a 20 grid box for the next step of doing this assignment. First I did not look at the instruction carely, I accidently did a small box. That's my problem but later on I did it again with 4cm per box and it perfectly fits.In this assignment I have learned that colour collage could make feelings by using one colour. For making the collage my first problem was that I could not make my collage having a feeling but after I changed it by cutting the colour paper in a cloud shape, it gives a calm feeling. I think that cutting it out into a shape helps to communicate because it comes out in pictures not a square.

Collage and paintings

On Wednesday the 15th of November. During in art class I have started making 20 square box so that I can paint the different blue tone in each box. I have started to paint 12 squares. During in this assignment I have learned that sometimes when we mix the color to black the color turns to black but when I painted it the color just turned dark blue, strange but true. I have learned that we can mixed alot of different tone using one color. When I did this assignment, I followed the instructions, my work came out pretty well and it is neat. When I did this I had some problems in mixing color, which when I wanted that kind of blue I just can't mix it.

Collage and Painting 2

During in Art class, Wednesday 22th of November 2006. We continued painting the 20 squared box. I had 8 more to do. I think that the problem that I had was mixing the colour which when I wanted that colour, I could not make it. Well when it was tidy up time I have just managed to paint the last box, which it was lucky. So on this Wednesday I have already finished the second task. For my third task is to make an abstract painting, which I have done it before in Grade 5. I think that I will have no problem on painting an abstract picture because I have experience in doing it before in Grade 5.

Abstract painting

During in Art class 29th of November 2006, we did some abstract painting base on your feeling in your collage. We did this with Mr Park Eason because Mr Pat is still sick on that day. My feeling is calm, so I paint a picture kind of like a water dripping through the page which it is really cool. Also I add some pictures in it too like a wing picture and a cloud picture. When I did this assignment I think that i have learned that it is hard doing an abstract picture base on feeling because we sometimes cannot tell the emotion, that's what I say. When I did the abstract painting I think that I could done something better which in my painting I had one side of the water dripping edge was sharp because I used straws to blow the paint. But the other side I use alot of water so that paint can drip. I am proud of my work.

My own portrait

On Wednesday the 6th of December 2006, in art class on this day we did our own portrait which it is for some of us in Spainish class. For my backgroud I used brown and for my outline I use greenish dark blue, it really looks good. But I think that my face is a bit fat but it is okay, then Mr Pat came and help me for some important details. When I did this painting I think that it is really hard to paint a picture of your self by not using a pencil first. I am really proud of my work even it is not quite beautiful in my own view.

Mounting

In our Art class Wednesday 13th December 2006, we had to mount our work in a big piece of paper. The work are abstract painting, collage and our 20 square box. First I cut out the edges of each of my work so that it would perfectly fit a color paper. Then I chose a blue color paper to be my backgroud, after that I lay my work on the paper for a plan. But before I could stick it, it was tidy-up time because we need to go to lunch and headed to BNH Hospital to show our hero plays and snow marlboro white. In my opinion, I like to mount things. But sometimes I get bored in doing it.

Term 2: week 1

On Wednesday the 10th January 2007 we did some new art work. The art work that we are doing is from the artist Paul Klee. First we had to plan 5 things or more than, that represents myself. Then we made blocks or curvy lines all around the paper. In my paper I have a a ot of lines so when I will paint it, it would be really difficult. But the thing that I am doing now is just a plan so I still have time to think about the colours for each block in my paper. During this lesson the problem that I have is thinking of the 5 things that represents myself and also deciding the colours for each block.
